Three haiku for a never-ending winter:
powdery snow cakes
fluff and tumble from doorsteps
tracking in and out
ice grows farther down
points stretching ever closer
to a small hand's reach
weather.com says
"wintry mix." sleet, freezing rain
snow, fog, ice buffet
Very well composed haikus! I especially like the 2nd one. And it's certainly the first time I've ever seen a website name in a poem before!
ReplyDeleteThis is for sure a poem that appeals to my senses. I like how you used descriptive words to draw me into the never ending winter.
ReplyDeleteLove the powdery snow cakes line!
ReplyDeleteLove how your wintry mix leads to a buffet. Hope your winter breaks with some spring peeking through soon.
ReplyDeleteSounds familiar! Love the images you've created.
